About Credit Reporting

         There are three major agencies that track everyone's credit and give a rating accordingly, they are:  Equifax, Experian, and Trans Union.   When someone applies for a loan, these agencies are contacted by lenders, and those lenders are given a credit score which then they make the decision to give the loan or not.

          When receiving your credit report, it is a good idea to get your report from all 3 credit bureaus, giving you a better sense of how your credit really stands.
